An award-winning educator, Kathryn has written and spoken widely on creative learning and the secret strengths of outlier thinkers. She co-authored Creativity for Everybody (2015) and Discovering and Developing Talents in Spanish-Speaking Students (2012) and has written several chapters in edited volumes. Her newest book, The Non-Obvious Guide to Being More Creative (No Matter Where You Work), is set for release in early 2019. Kathryn contributes monthly to The Creativity Post and her writing has appeared in The Washington Post. She has also published poetry.
Kathryn earned her BA in Spanish literature at Northwestern University and her MSc in Creativity and Change Leadership from the acclaimed International Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY, Buffalo.
Kathryn began her career as a banker in Chicago but a move to California catalyzed the discovery of her true calling as an entrepreneur. She founded Ignite Creative Learning Studio which evolved into Sparkitivity, her present day consulting practice based near New York City.
